I am planning on doing a very large spokenword project by the end of this summer entitled Lift. It’s a story written by my very good friend Jesse and I figure I need to start experimenting with my voice and music and such blah blah blah. So here is my first attempt at spoken word. I wrote this. It’s actually about the relashonship between sound (specifically music) and people who can't hear. Kind of a one sided love story...

I have a theory.
That if I were I tie a tin can to your ear you could hear me from the bottom of every empty soup can I devour while I’m stuck here, being love sick over you. The vibrations would carry down through your jaw and kiss your lips with a soft hum that might just translate the way I’m feeling.
I could press your hands against a guitar and the harmony would climb up your arms and fall down your back leaving you as weightless as me.

There are so many things I’ve thought to try, to explain, to try to say…
I want this.
I want this to fall on deaf ears.
